Curriculum Overview

At My Small Wonders we realize that each child is unique and providing them with a positive early learning experience is a critical step in leading them down a path of educational and social success. Throughout our years of research, development and working with numerous nationally recognized curriculum programs one thing has always remained true… children have an insatiable appetite for knowledge when they have learning experiences that are engaging and enjoyable.

Therefore, in addition to the HighReach Learning Curriculum offered to our Pre-Kindergarten classes, My Small Wonders employs a team of child care professionals who work tirelessly developing a curriculum that is based on current child development research and theory. The My Small Wonders Curriculum is a comprehensive curriculum you will not find anywhere else. It is thoughtfully planned, challenging, developmentally appropriate and relevant to our center and your children.

The innovative My Small Wonders Curriculum takes an integrated approach to early learning and is based on the best practices of early childhood programs, which is based on knowledge of how children learn and develop. Our Curriculum Team is dedicated to preparing a fun and developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to enhancing your child’s emerging skills. The My Small Wonders Curriculum follows both the Oklahoma Department of Education and the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s guidelines for age and developmentally appropriate practice.

The My Small Wonders Curriculum is very hands on and encourages the children to explore, investigate and experiment all while supporting their physical, social, cognitive and emotional development. We strive to plan activities that motivate, promote creativity and nurture a positive self-image in all of the children.
