School Age

Overview

In our school age program, your child will have the perfect opportunity to explore, discover, and achieve their greatest potential. We provide children with a comprehensive, proprietary curriculum known as the Five Building Blocks. This curriculum consists of hard skills – science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (or S.T.E.A.M.) – and soft skills, including social-emotional learning, small-group stations, and physical health and development.

The Five Building Blocks

My Small Wonders gives students the freedom to participate in a number of activities that help build skills in language and literacy, social-emotional development, physical health and development, and S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) curriculum-based problem solving.

To allow students to bridge the learning gaps that resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic, we also provide students with access to reading and math adaptive digital learning platforms.

Digital Learning Platforms

Access to our digital learning platforms gives students a unique path to meaningful achievement gains in mathematics and reading. Through engaging and interactive digital platforms, students are delivered the right level of education so that they are challenged but not overwhelmed by material that is too advanced.

Small-Group Learning Stations

Through the use of stations, students in our program have the opportunity to take ownership of their learning and play. In small groups, students are able to explore with their peers and build self-confidence.

S.T.E.A.M.

S.T.E.A.M. learning and play integrates science, technology, engineering, art, and math, promoting creativity and curiosity by bringing in personal expression, empathy, and purpose. Through hands-on projects, students engage both sides of their brains to solve problems and innovate, practicing analytical and creative thinking.

Social-Emotional Learning

Children thrive when they develop skills that allow them to interact broadly with the world. With intentional interactions with peers and adults, students are able to understand other peoples’ emotions, cultures, and perspectives.

Physical Health & Development

Regular physical activity promotes growth and development, keeping the body strong and healthy. Our indoor and outdoor games and activities are specially designed to stimulate teamwork while promoting gross motor skills.

Adventure Summer Camp

Every summer, My Small Wonders offers a 13-week day camp program that ensures children continue on their path of development, even outside of the regular school year.
Your child will participate in activities that correlate to each EPIC weekly theme, go on fun-filled field trips, and expand their mind with creative projects.
