Saturday, Sept. 26th, at the ECAO Annual Conference at the Moore Norman Technology Center, Mrs. Courtney will be receiving the Betty Stratton Award. 

"This scholarship is given to a person currently employed in the Early Childhood field. Recipient will receive $500.00 tuition to an institute of higher learning and NAEYC/SECA/ECAO membership." 

NAEYC is the National Association for the Education of Young Children, SECA is the Southern Early Childhood Association, and ECAO is the Early Childhood Association of Oklahoma.

Mrs. Courtney was nominated by Dr. Paulette Shreck who is the Chair of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction and a Professor of Early Childhood Education at UCO.
