September Teacher of the Month

Miss. Emory!

Ms. Emory is a graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s degree in Family Life Education, Child Development.  She is a member of NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of the Young Child.

Ms. Emory has had a passion for children since she can remember.  She says, “I guess having two parents in the profession helps!”  Her role models in life have always encouraged her to help children enjoy learning by playing.

In Ms. Emory’s free time, she enjoys spending time shopping, reading, going to the movies, taking her dog, Marley, to the Dog Park, and especially spending time with her family and friends.

September Teacher of the Month

Miss. Robyn!

Miss Robyn has been with MSW for over a year now and is now our cook but she has also been an Assistant Teacher and Floater and loves to be with the kids.
She is from Muskogee, Oklahoma. She now lives in Edmond but visits "home" frequently.

She has been attending the University of Central Oklahoma for three years now, majoring in Education. She plans to be a Coach when she graduates.

In Miss Robyn’s spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, a sport that she has played her entire life! “I enjoy being outside and coaching younger athletes,” she says.

August Teacher of the Month: Miss Abbey!

Ms. Abbey is an Assistant Teacher in our Crescents classroom.

She grew up in Edmond and went to Edmond Santa Fe High School.  She went to Oklahoma State in Stillwater for 3 semesters before transferring to the University of Central Oklahoma, where she is a sophomore majoring in Finance – Insurance.

Ms. Abbey has worked in a child care setting for 3 years and has also been a nanny.  Her favorite colors are red and teal and her favorite holiday is Halloween!!

July Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Tiffany!

Ms. Tiffany is a Master Teacher in our Woolly Worms infant classroom.

She has lived in Edmond most of her life. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2006 with a degree in Speech Language Pathology.Ms. Tiffany has been in child care for several years, working with a wide range of children of all ages.

She has a beautiful daughter, Savannah, who is enjoying her early years in elementary school. Ms. Tiffany loves art and spending time with her family.

June Teacher of the Month: Miss Jenn G!

Miss Jennifer was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She is one of five children and has 3 younger sisters and 1 older brother. She has a huge family and there are always babies around!

She is a sophomore at the University of Central Oklahoma and majoring in Interior Design. She also loves the outdoors, being at the lake, and wake boarding.

She strives to make each day the best and make at least one person smile! “I’m happy to be at My Small Wonders and hope to have a positive impact on your children" she says.

May Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Ashley!

Mrs. Ashley Prudhom is the Master Teacher in our Monarchs preschool classroom.
She was born and raised in Edmond and has one younger brother.  In June of 2007, she married her high school sweetheart!  She and her husband have been together for eight years and married for almost two!

She graduates in May of 2009 with her degree in Child Development from the University of Central Oklahoma.

In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, and now has a new love for reading!  "Children are my passion" she says.

April Teacher of the Month: Ms Bronwyn!

Ms. Bronwyn is one of the Master Teachers in our Woolly Worms infant classroom.

She graduated from Norman High School in Norman, Oklahoma. She worked at another childcare center for four months before coming to MSW and is “thrilled to be joining the My Small Wonders team!,” she says.

Ms. Bronwyn attends the University of Central Oklahoma majoring in Education.

March Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Courtney!

Courtney Schmidt; Master Teacher, Mallows

Mrs. Courtney has been married to her husband, Gabriel, for over 4 years. Her and her husband both have a Bachelor’s degree in a non-Education field, but are both getting their Master’s degrees in Education. “Great minds think alike, right?” she says.

Ms. Courtney is in her last year of my Early Childhood Education Master’s program at the University of Central Oklahoma. “When I started looking for a job in the field of early childhood education, I applied at My Small Wonders because I had heard many praises about it’s staff, curriculum, environment and facility,” she says.

She is very thankful for the toddlers in her class and they continue to fascinate her and inspire her to become a better teacher. Mrs. Courtney is excited to be part of the My Small Wonders family and can’t wait to see what the future holds!

February Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Elizabeth!

Elizabeth Seaman; Master Teacher, CinnabarsMrs. Elizabeth is a Master Teacher in our Cinnabars infant classroom.

She was born in Michigan but grew up in Missouri.  She and her husband have been happily married for 31 years.  They have two children, Clara and Chester, ages 19 and 21, both are currently attending college.  Elizabeth and David like to travel, and someday they would like to see the World.  They have lived in 7 states, and would like to thoroughly explore the remaining 43 !

She truly enjoyed raising her children as a 20 year stay-at-home Mom, so naturally when she chose to go back to work, she wanted to work with children!  “A child’s hug can make my day!”

January Teacher of the Month: Miss Kerri!

Ashley Plemons; Master Teacher, Crescents

Ms. Kerri is the Assistant Teacher in our Skippers 2-year-old classroom.

She attends the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, where she is currently a sophomore. She transferred this summer from OSU.

Ms. Kerri is from McAlester, Oklahoma and says that she misses home, but doesn’t want to move back!

She has five ½ brothers and sisters, and a step-brother and a step-sister…and she’s the youngest!! “I love it here and hope to continue to grow more every day! Thank you so much for this opportunity.” she says.
