September Teacher of the Month

Miss. Emory!

Ms. Emory is a graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s degree in Family Life Education, Child Development.  She is a member of NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of the Young Child.

Ms. Emory has had a passion for children since she can remember.  She says, “I guess having two parents in the profession helps!”  Her role models in life have always encouraged her to help children enjoy learning by playing.

In Ms. Emory’s free time, she enjoys spending time shopping, reading, going to the movies, taking her dog, Marley, to the Dog Park, and especially spending time with her family and friends.
Congratulations Miss Emory, keep up the good work!

Harvest Festival

Saturday, October 24th, 2009
11:00am to 2:00pm

My Small Wonders is almost ready for it’s second annual Harvest Festival!
This year we are raising money for Reach Out and Read to help support Early Childhood Literacy.
The festivities begin at 11:00am on Saturday, Oct 24th and will include games, activities, costume contests, food, and silent auctions!
Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes! A professional photographer will be on site to take candid and family photographs!
We could still use some more items for the silent auctions, folding tables, and a tractor to pull our hay ride! Please email Nancy or Bill if you would like to help with these requests.
This event is open to the community so invite your friends and family to come see our school and help raise money for a worthy cause.

Classroom Realignment

Oct. 5th, 2009

My Small Wonders is in the process of repurposing and realigning some of our classrooms so that we can offer spots to more families that need them (see openings in the right column).
You may notice changes within the next couple of weeks while we prepare for the transition. We are making every effort to keep students with their current teachers whenever possible but some may need to move up or back; we will, of course, take into account what is best for each child on a case by case basis.
Each affected family will be contacted by a member of center management and the necessary changes will be implemented on Oct 5th, 2009.
These changes are necessary to increase enrollment and keep MSW competitive in these trying economic times. Thank you for your help and understanding.
